School Subscription Agreement
This agreement applies to every school that registers for Pipality with Akasuya Pvt. Limited. By registering, the school agrees to the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the terms below.
1. Registration
- The school confirms that the registration details (school name, email, phone, address and administrator details) are accurate and that the person registering is authorised to act for the school.
- Each school receives its own Pipality workspace with a separate database, and may receive a school subdomain for its website.
2. Data processing terms
For the personal data of its students, guardians, teachers and staff, the school is the Data Fiduciary and Akasuya is the Data Processor. Akasuya will:
- process school data only to provide the Services and on the school’s documented instructions;
- keep school data confidential and apply reasonable security safeguards;
- use only sub-processors bound by equivalent obligations;
- help the school respond to requests from individuals exercising their rights;
- notify the school without undue delay of any personal data breach affecting its data;
- delete or return school data at the end of the subscription, as described in the Privacy Policy.
The school will:
- have a lawful basis for the data it records, and give notices to and obtain consent from individuals where the law requires, including verifiable parental consent for children;
- record only the data it needs for educational and administrative purposes;
- assign roles and permissions to its users carefully and remove access promptly when it is no longer needed;
- keep its own fee-payment gateway accounts and settings accurate, since fees paid by parents go directly to the school.
3. Plans and limits
The school’s package sets the features available and, for prepaid packages, the maximum number of students and staff. If the school exceeds its limits, it may need to upgrade its package.
